Gliomas

Gliomas are the most common brain-derived neoplasms with glioblastoma (GBM) multiforme being the most frequent and also the most malignant subtype. Marked tumor cell proliferation, rapid invasion into the surrounding brain tissue and intense microvascular angiogenesis are the biologic hallmarks of malignant gliomas.
