Faculty of Life Sciences – Department of Biology

Research fellow (m/f/d) – for a limited period of 3 years according to Berlin state rules with the possibility of extending - E 13 TV-L HU

 

Job description:

  • Scientific services in research and teaching in the field of molecular parasitology
  • Studies on parasite-host interactions in protozoa or helminths
  • Establishment of an independent research area
  • Successful aquisition of own third-party funds
  • Supervision of doctoral students, MSc and BSc students
  • Teaching (German or English) 4 hours/week during teaching terms
  • Tasks for own scientific qualification

 Requirements:

  • Completed university degree and PhD in Life Sciences (biochemistry, molecular biology or similar)
  • Previous experience in experimental genetics, biochemistry, cell biology or molecular biology
  • In-depth methodological knowledge in the field of molecular cell biology or molecular and cellular immunology
  • Handling of laboratory animals
  • Very good written and spoken English
