How bacteria respires organohalide pollutants

In their paper published in Science, Martin Bommer, Jochen Fesseler and Holger Dobbek together with colleagues from the group of Gabriele Diekert (Jena University, Germany) describe for the first time the crystal structure of PceA, an archetypal dehalogenase from Sulfurospirillum multivorans, a organohalide-respiring microorganism.
